Over the summer, I came across this dress from & Other Stories. Displayed on a sales rack that had several sizes of this particular dress left, I headed for the changing rooms, expecting less than nothing. However, this dress just fit me for some odd reason. This was back in July, in a changing room no less.
Fast forward to October 2nd, 2014. Up until then, I didn’t have the courage to pull this one out of my closet and head out the door. Lack of self-confidence anyone? I guess a dinner party with friends was the best moment to conquer my fear, so one October evening I slipped into this dress and got nothing but compliments about it.
If I learned anything from this, it’s that maybe I shouldn’t be so shy about wearing certain items. It also explains why I decided to do a style post on the blog about it. Kudos to my sweet husband for being utterly patient when shooting these photos. I assume it’s not the easiest thing to do when having me as a model. I’m not used to being in front of the camera. However, I love how these turned out. Bad news for my husband: it might involve another style shoot in the future.
Is there anything you aren’t confident about wearing, but would love to wear someday? Do let me know in the comments! I’m looking forward to hear about it.
